--->>Where did I get the idea to create a brand?
The Forma by Forma brand was created out of love for unobvious solutions. As a child, I did everything the other way around. So it is also today ;) When others sew simple things, I sew complicated bags. If others cut applications from fabrics and apply them to bags, I do the opposite - I cut out the pattern from the handbag background and put a "hole" on the fabric in a contrasting colour. It's a very labour-intensive technique for decorating handbags, but I love it.
--->> Where did the name of my company come from?
The company's name was created from my name. My name is Marlena Forma. „Form” in English it's „Forma” in my language. Forma by Forma in a literal English translation means „Form by Form” or „Shape by Shape” 😊
--->>How did my adventure begin as a Polish artist?
The adventure of sewing handbags began with sewing evening dresses. It was difficult to match a suitable handbag with them, so I started to sew them myself. Now, I sew only bags.
--->>What gives me the greatest joy in running a brand?
The greatest joy in running my brand makes me run my brand. I design and sew my bags, take photos, deal with marketing, sales and activities on the Internet. Thanks to this, I consolidate my knowledge and learn new things all the time. This is a great satisfaction - double when my bags are liked by others.
--->>What handbags do I like the most to sew?
The assortment in my store includes various shapes (forms 😉) of bags. In my shop, you will find round bags, square bags, rectangular bags, oval and cylindrical bags. I like to sew round bags the most. Perhaps because the round bags are a favourite product of my clients.
--->>What materials do I use most often?
Generally, I use fabrics with a dense weave to sew handbags. This is imposed by the application technique that I use to decorate bags. Textiles that imitate suede are ideal for this purpose, which is why Forma by Forma bags are made mainly of these fabrics.
--->>What is the process of creating a new project?
I start the process of creating from imagining the shape of the bag, the colour and the texture of the fabric. In the imagination, I plan decorations, an interior of bag and accessories. It also happens that I dream about my bags. I wake up in the morning with a ready idea! 😊
When I have an idea, I sit down to sketches, then I make templates and sew a prototype. I put the bags in my shop when I'm sure everything is perfect. All my handbags are created this way - rectangular office bags, colourful round bags, big beach bags, backpacks, shopping bags and small clutches.
--->>Who are Forma by Forma bags for?
Each customer who love fashion, colours and original gallantry will find in the Forma by Forma store a bag for yourself. My bags are different from all, at the same time, they are comfortable, practical and universal. Some of my bags can be worn for elegant styling and for high heels, but also for jeans and even sports shoes. It can be seen in pictures of my bags.
--->>Do I create personalized projects and what does personalization mean?
Yes, I design handbags for individual orders. If you are looking for a bag from your dreams, write to me and present me your idea. Together we will agree on the colour, shape and size of the application. I will fulfil your dreams with great enthusiasm. In this way, a bag will be made, which no one will have, only you :) If you want, I can make a bag with the initials - for you, for your mother, sister or a friend :)
Before you order a personalized bag, please take into consideration that the personalized bag is much more labour-intensive and will cost more. I set the costs sewing with each buyer individually.
--->>I start the day at work from ...
I start the day at work with a decent breakfast and coffee. I love coffee. I can not imagine working without a few cups of coffee a day. After breakfast, I'm looking at Instagram, FB, Pinterest and fashion shows looking for inspiration to act. Then I answer e-mail and browse new among fabrics, accessories and bags. Later I will sew, and sew, and... sew 😊
